At times, marketing and sales plans can get ahead of operations. When our client, a $20B telecommunications leader, prepared for its big Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) customer acquisition push, all the marketing and sales initiatives were in place.
However, they quickly realized that they might be the victims of their own success. Their current order management, appointment scheduling, and service operations did not have the ability to handle the requirements of the product launch.
Aelera quickly assessed data needs and designed an order management system that was integrated with legacy systems and supported all workflow processes - from sales and service to scheduling installations. We helped our client know, right down to the truck and technician, who was supposed to be where and when.
We're pleased to report the launch was a huge success. We met our tight 90-day deadline. And more than 300,000 customers' orders were processed, had their DSL installed and were billed. Later, we added sales commission tracking and analysis and created a reporting dashboard to analyze the performance of call centers. Our client is now at 2.2 million subscribers and counting...
