Florida Firm Goes from Zero to 700 in 60 Hours
An Aelera Success Story
Our Client was in the dark as they approached their annual strategic planning session. On Friday, it had no idea what their patrons wanted. By Monday -- just 60 hours later -- they had over 700 survey responses in hand to tell them everything they wanted to know.
A plan based on improper assumptions is doomed to fail. That's what one of Florida's largest financial cooperatives -- with more than $350 million in assets -- was afraid would happen if it couldn't get feedback from their members in advance of their strategic planning meeting. They had planned for months to collect needed data. Unfortunately, a series of setbacks and snafus had derailed their survey efforts, and now time was almost up.
Our Client requested help collecting something -- anything -- that could help their executives make enlightened decisions. They needed a surefire way to work past the hurdles that had made their surveying efforts fruitless so far.
Aelera chose to apply technology to augment the mail surveys the Client already had prepared. Aelera's Analytics group created a Web-based version of the survey -- overnight -- to collect responses on-line. Then, Aelera prepared a survey invitation to be delivered by email. The Client provided Aelera with email addresses for their members. Saturday morning, members found the survey invitations in their inbox, with a link to take them straight to the website survey. By close of business Monday -- less than 60 hours later -- over 700 members had completed the survey.
A couple days later, the Client's executive team was ready to begin their strategic planning session with Aelera's 85-page survey analysis in hand. In addition to the raw data from the 700+ responses, the analysis included charts and graphs highlighting trends and data clusters. Now it was simple to isolate key factors, and check assumptions to make sure their plan was solid. Executives could make decisions with confidence, and provide the leadership their membership demanded.
